Noisy AC fan

My AC/heater fan got really noisy last week. I sounded it the fan was grinding agaisnt something. Almost like when kids tape a baseball card to their bicycle and the spokes hit it as it rolls. The faster the fan went, the faster the "clicking" was.

The made the noise for about a week then it quit making the noise ?????


Now it's fine...


Is it gonna go out ?

I imagine it will quit blowing.
I haven't heard of many quitting though, to be honest.

Usually, if a problem does arise, it involves the speed control "resistor" .
