We have 97 ford explorer 5.0 with about 205k on it. I have a code reader and it has pulled code p0141 for bank 1 sensor 2. Being the sensors have never been replaced I am assuming it has gone bad. Are questions are, 1.does anyone have any resource on how to remove the center console to reach the plug connections? We are just going ahead and change all 4 while under there since its a snug area. 2. Just for reference, is bank 1 the passenger side? 3. Any other advice or special tools we should get? (am planning on getting the 7/8in o2 sensor socket or wrench. 4. What sensors would you recommend? I've seen a 4 pack of sensors on carparts.com made by replacement brand for $80-90. Thanks for any help you can give.

Also the center console has the cd changer and the truck has the computer in front of the cup holder if that makes it harder when removing the center console or not.

Never done it from the top....

I just "Roll Up The Old Sleeves" and fight it from the bottom..

I would do all (4) or your just gonna be back in there fighting it again.

There are various topics about center console removal that you can find with a forum search.
Here's one: 2nd gen console removal
