When I get my truck, either Escape or Explorer, I want to throw some off road tires on it. I was just told by a guy on another site that the BFG All-Terrain T/A's are great offroad but are very noisy when on paved roads. Is there such thing as a quiet offroad tire?

The BFG All-terrains are a great compromize between decent offroad and onroad performance. They are louder than most road tires, but are quieter than most other offroad tires. Kinda a happy medium ;)

I don't think they're all that loud. Also there are many other good all terrain tires that cost way less than BFGs. They're a quality tire, but over priced and over rated in my opinion. And yes, I've had bfg a/t's and dont run em anymore

my BFG m/t are not that lound if ya drive over 20 mph. when ya get to 25+ they are just like a street tire. great handling tire as well. i recomend BFG!

yeah i have the bfg at and they do rumble a little at low speeds. like right at 20 they sound like mudders. otherwise, they are no louder than my ole crapstones were. the look good too. they are expensive too!

Well thats good to know that they only rumble at slow speeds. Can someone tell me the price of each tire at a size of 235/70R16? I tried tirerack.com but they only have it in a 315 size. I don't know where else to look. Thanks.
