who new an explorer could handle as well as a jeep wrangler or a landrover off road, any ways i live in sioux falls south dakota and thare are a couple of cool places to test the offraod abilities of my mountaineer and one is that there is a trail out here its probably only 1/2 a mile long but there are some serious challanges such as a 3 1/2 foot little ravine or creek and i have driven through this thing alot never gotten stuck or even close to it ive had my friend come out there with there k5 blazers wranglers and new 1500 and 2500 chey trucks but for some reason all of them except for me and the wrangler have gotten stuck and the wrangler had somthing over me a snorkel intake and a 4" lift with general tires lt at2 series, well thought it was cool sooooooo...... thanx

What? Maybe throw some periods in there?

I really wish people would take the time and type using at lease SOME grammar and punctuation... I can forgive spelling errors but a paragraph long run-on sentence is crazy!

He's a newbie poster - got 2 posts - and is probably just a young guy excited about learning what he can do. Way to make him feel welcome, guys

Press Release:
Explorerforum.com will be changing its name to ProperEnglish.com on April 1st of this year. Stay tuned for further developments.....
:D

I didn't mean anything bad by my comment, I just think everyone should use a little punctuation and maybe even a little spell check, it makes us look like ignorant kids when we don't.

Welcome!

Welcome! Glad you had a blast in your Explorer. I remeber all to well the days of trying an obstacle and the thrill when I made it. I also rember the day my Jeeper friend said I need to quit upgrading my truck because it was getting to hard for him to follow me.

Now for some real excitement, join us on a run!

When I read your post I imagined the IKEA comercial where the girl started speaking about 80mph about the deals she got. Glad your excited.

Rob

Hey buddy, i know how you feel. i remember the first time i took my mounty out. You'll have fun in your truck and some fun here at the forum. If you need anthing, all you have to do is ask. But make sure you run a search first or some guys will give you a hard time. Again, welcome.

I agree and wanted to same the same thing LOL.... but he's just started posting, let's let him get excited and then later let him know we're an educated website and appreciate posts that are easy to read in English :)

Ya thats true. I remember passin a yellow defender and a white modified jeep in the badlands. THey got manhandled in this section that when you go straight from the parking lot you go into. I was stock and drivin past em.

the 4 door ex has weight and wheelbase advantages over other lighter 4x4's IN CERTAIN TERRAIN.

Your 99 5.0L is AWD and has no low range. This is a HUGE disadvantage whel wheeling on 4x4 trails

Welcome to the site, here you will find your enthusiasm for offroading is shared by MANY :)

thats funny but since this is a USA based site shouldn't that be properamerican.com, you could expand it also to include properhillbilly.com,properrap.com,etc, there must be plenty of others, someone could make a fortune,

Yeah, sorry about the spelling thing. I was just excited about my truck "SUV", and was wondering, do you guys have any serious explorations that head to the colorado or south dakota area? By the way my 99 mercury Mountaineer is a one of a kind up here, no one up here has anything done to there explorers, rangers, or mountaineers, all there is, like dodge cummings series and f250's and 350's and a couple of jeeps, my truck only has a k&n drop in filter, that i hacked the silencer pipe, A glass pack "witch dont sound to bad, and a set of nology hotwires, thanx and let me know on the explorations!!!!!!
