working on a 99 explorer 4.0 SOHC
The oil pressure switch has a white clip from the electrical harness if I'm not mistaken. That harness has another clip linked to it. Looks like a rectangle narrow in width but long --> [] with the locking tab at the top/bottom and I think its a 2 pin clip. I have looked for quite some time and cant find where this plugs into. Like I said above it is attached to the oil pressure clip harness.

Its not the power steering pressure swith cause I already have that plugged in plus its not compatible to the clip in question.

The OP switch is screwed into the engine block below the A/C compressor. You'll need to look in through the wheel well or from underneath to see it clearly. The single wire color code is green/white.

In that same general area, you should find the 2-wire plug for the A/C compressor clutch. Some Explorers also have a connector for the oil level/temp sensor but it has 3 pins.

Thanks for the response, now that you have mentioned the AC I do not remember plugging anything back into the compressor. I will check that first thing tonight when I get home.

That's most likely where it goes... the compressor clutch is two-wires and in the same area...
