Oil Question

I read somewhere that after 50,000 miles that is ok to put 10W-30 in a 5W-30 car. I am not talking about synthetics. Is this true or not? Can it cause any damage? THanks

You won't cause any damage, the 5w flows a little easier in colder temps.

What Bashman said. If you're using oil when it's full of 5W30, switch to 10w30 and your oil consumption should drop.
