...(to beat the dog dead).
When doing the TT, I've found it difficult to get the drivers side lift equal to the passenger side lift. The drivers side torsion bar adjust bolt is dang near screwed all the way in, minus a thread or two, yet the passenger side bolt is out a minimum 1/4"to 3/8" futher than the driver side, and there is still 1/2" difference in lift height (passenger side higher). Also, what is the consensus on having to replace the front shocks with longer units to deal with a 2" TT lift in front? Can the stock units tolerate this lift without maxing out on extension length?
(98 Sport, 2WD, Warrior shackles on rear).

That's normal, make sure the bolts are even.
 






Even? What effect would there be to leaving one tighter than the other, in order to try to even out each side? Can the stock shocks deal with a 2" TT?

Nothing really, just one side will be stiffer than the other. You won't notice and diference in the ride.

No, you'll need to get some premium type shocks. I bought Monroe Reflex Shocks(Rancho shocks with the Monroe name).
 






I hate to disagree with ya Matt, but the idea of the adjusters is to get the truck level, not keep the adjusters even. What you should do is measure from the ground to the center of the wheel lip on both sides, and use the adjusters to make this measurement the same. The actual position of the screws is not important. They just provide the leverage to adjust ride height. The adjusters are at different depths for several reasons. The weight balance of the truck side to side is probably not even, and usually, the driver's side tbar has more of a load on it (weight of the driver), which can make it a little weaker due to fatigue.
 






Plus, Gerald had in his write up that one of his Torsion bars wasn't installed correct. One was off by 1/6 of a turn. He removed it, re installed it properly and the torsion bar adjuster bolt worked properly. I rode my stock shocks until 50,000 miles then I bought Jeff's (JDraper) stock shocks from him and I have put about 5,000 miles on them. I think they work just fine. Would better shocks ride better, of course, but the stock shocks will work until you save the money for real shocks, I just keep putting them off and doing other mods. :D
