Got a 99 4 door here and was thinking about doing the following to improve the body roll and maybe improving the ride.

1st: New Shocks prolly the Gabriel or Monroe, cause I am cheap.
2nd: Gonna Torsion Twist down a bit to lvl out the thing a bit.
3rd: get rid of these dang 15's and go to a 16 stock rim to get rid of that huge sidewall and maybe a bit bigger foot print.

If anyone else has any ideas let me know. Just for a bit of info the Explorer will never bee off the pavement and 90% of the driving will be city with pot holes and all.

If you drop it I would definately go eith Edelbrock ISA foed Explorers ( Explorer Express ). You will need to have an alignment after the TT.Also consider an Explorer Express rear sway bar and polu bushings for your front bar.

I dunno.......I just got the Gabriel VST LT series and they handle well. A way to describe it is that for some reason it still has SOME body roll, yet still keeps traction. And I'm lowered via TT.

Not to mention i just put on 265/70's on my 15's so a little wider doesn't hurt.

But ya from what i hear the rear sway bar helps the most. I need to look into that.

while you're on en Explorer Express site

Check out the X-Spec suspension. Also, there's a review of it on the site.
