OCI? Sounds like industry speak. That's a new acronym to me...I think I'll start using it.

Oil Change Interval. I hang at BobIsTheOilGuy.com too.
Motorcraft and the basic Fram are about the same price but Motorcraft is vastly better. The upper level Frams are okay but then you're paying a premium to get a filter that is no better than a Motorcraft.

i was trying out the frams to save a couple bucks being that we have three cars that all get daily use and i do all of our maintainence, (except on our mini).
If you want to save money, the Supertech Wal-Mart store brand filters are pretty good, better than Frams, and cost about $2.29.

thanks, we pile the miles on our cars with our commutes but i just got me a little honda that im going to abuse on those commutes from now on and hopefully i can keep the miles down on my explorer from now on. no more fram for me though!

I knew the meaning, just have never used it myself. I'm not a fan of acronyms but I catch myself using them on here. Maybe I just need to give in. Or maybe I already have, based on my sig line.

I run Mobile 1 oil with a WIX filter in all of my vehicles.

ive been getting the supertechs from walmart, no problems with them, i would go motorcraft but i mean these do well. i run castrol gtx if your wondering that at all lol
