Overhead Storage Shelf?

im looking at getting a Overhead Storage Shelf or buliding one like this one http://www.jcwhitney.com/vertically...e-shelf/p2017549.jcwx?filterid=d658y1997g55j1 does anyone know if this would fit my x or would it be better to bulid one

Nearly 450 views as I post this and no comments, so here goes:

Quick answer, no the shelf offered by JC Whitney will not fit without modification. . . I ordered one for the same year Ranger, as the website stated that one was not made for the Explorer - - I figure RBV, ought to fit, right ? ? ? Nope. Where the visors mount to the A-pillar must be different.

But I wanted some out-of-sight storage so figured it would be worth the effort.

So here are a few pictures of the finished product - - major modification to get it to work well, and its a good thing I'm built low to the ground, as most guys 5'10" and taller would be hard pressed to see well.
