P0171 & P0174 error codes

My 02 Sport recently generated these 2 codes. Upon checking for vacum leaks I found a large tear and small tear on the rubber elbow hose that connects the PCV to the Intake. I have several questions regarding this. 1st when I replace this hose, if it fixes the problem will the CEL go out on its own. 2nd, could this problem with the PCV system have resulted in fuel dilution in my oil? I have been having excess fuel dilution showing up in my oil and I was wondering if this could have been the cause. Thanks for any responses

I got the same error, I'm going to look at the PCV tomorrow. Gas milage sucks since this CEL came on. Reseting the EEC worked for about a day. Same with Battery reset.
