P0715 and p0775 with transmission skipping gears

Hey, I have an 03 Fordexplorer 4x4 transmission issue 5r55w. Got the vehicle with a bad transmission and got a used one from a wrecked car. installed it and everything. drove great for a few weeks then on the way to work today there was a loud thud/slam. Sounded like i had ran over a turtle on the highway. No loss of speed or anything, The about a minute later the O/D off light starts blinking, followed by eratic shifting ( no 2nd gear. jumps rough from 1 to 3 . i got it to work and looked under. theres a small leak that looks like it its coming from right at the gasket on the transmisson, nothing that looks like it lost half the fluid or anything. and the transfer case has fluid on it ( not sure if its from that or spray back from driving with the transmisson dripping)

Scanned it and got codes p0715 and p0775 at the same time. Was wondering if any one has had a similar issues or where i should start to look. Trying not to replace half the transmission parts and guessing at the issue. Thanks all!

If its skipping gears I would suspect a broken overdrive band, if it fails you will lose 2nd and 5th.

I would pull the pan, you should be able to tell if it broke or not, if it broke you know what happened and can decide what to do from that point.
