I'm glad there is such a forum! I've always been a FORD guy but the responses and lack of information from FORD dealers regarding this transmission is frustrating and unnerving.
Truck has about 80k and started to shift erratic. The OD light is flashing and 2-3 shudder and wouldn't shift back into 5th gear.
I pulled these codes:
P0732 - Gear 2 Incorrect Ratio
P0735 - Gear 5 Incorrect Ratio
P0775 - Pressure Control Solenoid B
Fluid is fairly clean and not any unusual metallic fillings in the pan. Bands seem to be intact and adjustable. While doing a bench test Solenoid B showed no OHMS reading, connected to a 12v source and opened/closed.
Sol A-D show 24-24.4 ohms
My question is would this solenoid need to be replaced? cannot find anyone including dealer to test. Would the valve body need to be rebuilt? I also hear the servos could or can be the issue. Any info is appreciated.
