PA-883 Please Help

Here is the thing... I want to put a PA-883 lift kit on my explorer but my parents won't let me do it because it is "not made for the ford explorer," he will let me if anyone can answer this question.... Why doesn't it say for a Ford Explorer? Please help

Because no one makes a kit for the 2nd gen Explorer the kit u buy is for the similar year Ranger but it fits fine just have to get some longers bolts for some of the mounts. I have done it and many other users have done it with little or no problems.
 






Probably because of the "rolling issues" label that the explorer was given. They roll because of bad driving, not because of a fricken tire. Just like U-Haul will rent trailers to people with a Mountaineer or a Navajo, which as we all know are the same damn thing as the explorer.

( Don't judge based on that. Keep reading dad ;) )

Anyway, how about do a search on PA883 and just show your parents all the results from that search on here. They will see that there are well over 100 results of the PA883 installed on explorers with no problems what-so-ever. :thumbsup:
 






Remember that you will need to fabricate your own bumper brackets. The brackets supplied with that kit are designed for Ranger bumpers and will not work with the Explorer bumpers.
