Where did you buy the kit from? I just found out while swapping out shocks that my bushings are rotting out under the outside layer.

How much?

Since these are specific to the 1st Gen ST do they come with new sleeves or do you have to re-use the old ones?

No sleeves. You have to re-use the old ones or buy new ones.

Still got the OEM replacements sitting in the garage. They do come with the sleeves, btw. Just haven't had time to do them. Goal is to have them on before Gulches.

I figure the OEM ones lasted about 10 years. I don't complain too much about a part that makes it that long.

Yea i wish the daystars came with the sleeves. It would have been alot easier changing out all of them.

Hugh, how much was the factory bushings?

I bought them from a guy for $110. I think he paid about double that from Tousley. I can look up the receipt tonight.

Just a small amount of heat with a propane torch on the bottom will free them right up. Worked great on every bolt. me and my buddy were able to knock it out in one night along with shocks.

Man, I sure wish my body lift plans actually happened :( I'm prolly gunna have to wait till next summer if I'm lucky.

I like reading all these threads to see what problems people have had so I know what to expect. Good read!

I'm not looking forward to replacing all my bushings but I know I have to get it done before school starts back up. Brent great writeup by the way.

Yea i'll show you in person at carlisle on the one i did replace. I can even bring all the other bushings i havent used yet so you get a better idea.

That would be really helpful! I'll probably bring my kit up just to match everything up while I can look at yours already done.

I never fully completed mine i just did the one that was completely gone. Was in a rush to get the body lift done. I need to go back and finish the job but i matched up all the bushings in the kit to the ones on the ST. One day i'll finish the job.

I ordered the Daystar KF04009bk kit for my 2004 sport trac.
Not all parts are in there. I know it is not specifically made for the Sport trac but I had read that it would work with some left over parts.
All parts are there except for
Figure

:
Body Mount location 4, C

Pillar. Use Cab Mount
s
M02342 (Top) and M02344 (bottom)
They are not in the kit. Has anyone else ordered this kit and what did you do for the C-pillar mounts?

/Maybe i can use some of the leftover parts.

the truck parts shop were out of stock and could only order 4009 kit and I read that all the same parts from the 4015 were included in the 4009 and some extra parts/ leftovers.
Apparently what I read was wrong.
