Painting trim!!!

Could anyone give me advice on how to paint the trim around the car? I have a black 02 XLT, i'm going to buy factory paint, just not sure how much i'd need, and how exactly to apply it. Any help woudl be great, thanks, SKINZ

trim - i have a black car and the trim is the silver, that goes around the whole bottom of the car, it's silver....

You might consider posting a couple of pics. It should help to clearly id what you are talking about. ...just a thought.

Is it the textured trim? If so, you'll have to get that sanded smooth for it to look right.
