Pfft, there's no way you've gotten that little thing up to 400 hp already :p Put some NOS in it and theoretically you could launch over the biggest boulders at pap, lol.

Can I feed it to Shelby? She's been craving fried rice lately :D Speaking of Asian things,.... Ben, if I find any more writing on my truck when I work on her again tonight you better watch your back this weekend. I have NO QUALMS whatsoever about slipping some eXlax into your soda :fire:

Honestly, there isn't any on your truck. I was being nice by only writing on the tranny pan. :D

you forget that they are 320 out of the box and each psi = 18-22 hp, I was pushin 8psi b4 now about 13-14psi, plus the exhaust with no cat, new intake.... u do the math

Well, you prolly expected this. Since there isnt gonna be a group on sunday count me out of this one :mad: Ill just save up and buy myself some gears or something. But ill be up there May 6th for all who are intrested.

We will be wheeling tomorrow Saturday. I believe we will be meeting at the Exxon on 924 right off of 81.
 






im questionable at this point, I got real sick yesterday and if Im not better by tomorrow morning, Im out.... Im not going through that again, being out there gettin sicker.... so we'll play by ear... or sickness as the case may be. Mike and Marcy are still going thoough no matter what.

You're always questionable :p Gonna hang out tonight at least? You don't have to wheel ya know, you're always welcome to ride along... Marcy's a helluva spotter but he's not as creative as you are when it comes to getting out of jams...

I'm still psyched for saturday since I've actually got everything together for a change :D Ben, I came in early as balls today and got the other AAL in, thanks for your help last night (And I've still got all my fingers, too!).
 






yeah my truck is ready except for a few minor things like not having a torsion bar skid.. Not to worry though.. its not like I would break a torsion bar anways.. :confused: The t-case issue is fixed.. it helps to have fluid in the front diffy.. :eek:
 












This is how you break a custom Currie 9" front axle shaft..

Ok.. I need to know what act of God is required to grenade a currie 9" ? :eek: Those axles are supposed to be Extremly well built to take tons of abuse... So how what kind of recovery was needed to get the rig back home?

A bad casting of the 9" axle shaft. I have a pic somewhere that I'll post up soon. They are supposed to be guaranteed for life by Currie. I believe they have CTM u-joints in there. Its odd that the u-joint didn't break before the axle shaft.
 






I had the truck auggered in something fierce. Most of the weight of the truck was on the one front corner. I tried this line I Couldnt make last time I tried it and it was looking good. Then Spas said something like "you are doing fine" then I heard a super loud snap. Recovery wasnt terribly hard. Luckily it was towards the end of the trail, we had to rock it back and forth and winch it up. Then it got stuck again a little bit further up. The front locker saved me coming out cause I was able to keep it in 4wd a little spinning the other side axle. After looking you can see that the axle casting is bad. I believe this to be the cause mainly.

All in all it was a great day, though a little embarassing. All the explorers broke. Only the xj survived. was definately all worth it though. Thanks to everyone who came up and everyone who came out. Marcy was a good guide and when he turbo spotted me out of my sticky situation woulda been cool to have on video.

I always hate hearing the dreaded "Snap". When travelling over old logs ect it is hard to tell if the logs or your axles are snapping... Glad to hear it happend towards the end of the run and didn't take too much effort to get your rig home..

BTW what other damage was incurred by the other explorers?
 






2 other explorers came out.

Spas, had a tranny spewing fluid bad. I think something like 3 quarts in just a few mins.

Blee1099 had his tcase grinding and popping.
 






I've said it before and I'll prolly say it a few hundred more times...A4LD'S ARE THE SPAWN OF SATAN!!!! I made it home fine with very little fluid loss after the initial waterfall that came out on that twist-n-turn at the top of blueberry :rolleyes: Shelby's just a wierdo like that, methinks. Someday we'll be the ones pulling ol' Quake's cherokee out (Kidding, man! Thanks for guiding us since super doofus would rather play with his new sh!ttybishi than go wheeling).

Rook, muchos gracias for letting us crash at your place. Kricket had fun too, but I'm not gonna bring someone who wears heels to go wheeling, gripes about havin to get up before 12 and stays on a cell phone all day ever again :eek: Oh the irony.... here I'm always giving you guys hell about bringing up annoying female passengers, HAHAHA :D From now on the spasticat rides alone or had better have passengers who aren't distracting (the only two I can think of offhand who've never ripped me a new one for taking the wrong line are Tawd and Shena- you guys can still ride with me, lol). Although they might not want to after that Bonzai moment on the RTi....

Wow this is a long post. Can you tell I'm in Tennessee and bored outta my mind?? It's all good, i get to go torture Das Frem tomorrow :D

looks like it was a good time, wish i could have made it but don't have the funds to wheel after a week in AZ, and a wedding comming up, hope i can make the next one
