Hi All,

I know that the answers to the following are somewhere on the site but I am unable to find them.
MOT fail on O'S'F track rod end damaged/us, O'S'F cv joint gaiter split, O'S'F suspension arm ball joint needs replacing.
Advice on a 'good value' place to purchase the above please.
Also fail on rear brake load sensing valve linkage defective, is it fixable or is replacement with new/used part the best idea.
My local garage is very good collects/returns car to the home, so it was waiting for me when I came home and the fail notice was with it, unable to speak with the mechanic at the moment.
Any tips, pointers etc would be most welcome.

Many thanks

Welcome to the site.. Trying to figure out what OSF stands for.. For the track rod end, I assume your referring to the tie rod end or the sway bar end links. CV joint gaiter split? I assume the CV drive axles are showing wear, and in regards to the balljoints are you referring to upper or lower? All of those items are easily replacable but the issue will be cost since the parts more than likely will have to come from the US. Rear brake sensing valve, I assume your referring to a proportioning valve or the T that comes from the brake line to the rear axle where it sends the fluids to both sides of the axle.

Welcome to the forum!!

If I remember correctly, one of the site sponsors, http://www.fastpartsnetwork.com will ship parts overseas and has very good prices on factory replacement parts. If you can't find what you need on the site, contact torrie@fastpartsnetwork.com and he can get you what you need.

Welcome to the site.
O'S'F means Off Side Front. Just for info.

You can get all the parts from http://www.usautomotive.co.uk/ Normally next day delivery. Hope that helps.

MOT Fail, Parts, LPG Update.

Hi Agai,

Checked all advised sites plus a few others for parts and exept for the cv boot, my local Ford dealer is giving the best price quotes. As long as the parts are in stock 'down souff' somewhere delivery is almost next day. If not 'D S' then its Germany and then USA, so its all in the hands of my mechanic now.

One thing he did mention was a plastic link/actuating arm for the rear brakes, further investigation reveals its the arm/inkage/bit for the self leveling suspension, now I know why it hasent been working for a week or two. As I'm told its plastic, or similar I will have a look and see if I can make up a stronger one, if not its back to Ford.

My vehicle is an LPG conversion and I have some idea about the operation of the single point system if that helps any one, can also recomend a garage at Kirby Lonsdale Cumbria for repairs etc to LPG systems.

Cheers
