What is involved in putting in a passenger side airbag switch? Does it need to be a genuine ford part, or just a switch? I figure it has to both turn it off AND fool the computer into thinking it's on...

Any legal problems???

Why?

For your kid in the passenger seat? It's much safer for them to be in the rear. A child should only be in the front in a 2 seat car.

Towing several kids..... and they don't like riding in the cargo area ;)

I have a 95 and have the same issue. Need to de-activate the passenger side, and wonder how. Either that or move to a Suburban.

Tremendous legal issues.

Unless you do it your self of course.
These systems are rather sensitive. Putting a switch in line most likely will throw a code.
Put DVD screens in the head rests they will like it much better in the back then.
:D
