I own a 2000 Ex Eddie Bauer Edition with a 5.0 V8 and I've been serching like crazy trying to find the PCV valve with no success. I've also serched the explorer forum and the "children" book (Its the Chilton manual, but I call it the children book lol) but couldn't find anything. Does anyone have an idea where it might be hiding? I've checked the both sides of the valve covers because that's where they are usually located but the explorers though. Im stomped yet again. I would appreciate any ideas:D

It's a ***** to get your hands on, but once you figure out where it is, it's easy to get to (sort of). Only took me a few years to figure out. :D

Follow this thread to locate.

Its buried behind the intake manifold, clearly the result of an angry engineer and a handle of vodka. My guess is it's the same guy who came up with the oil filter mount.

Remember the "Search" box on this forum, it comes in handy.

Just remember that the valve comes out of the crankcase easier than you think. If you have to reef hard on it, you're in the wrong place. The Seafoam thread will help immensely. Just be patient and you'll figure it out. If I did, anyone can. I'm not patient or mechanically inclined.
