Anyone have the PT# for the PCV valve on a 01 EX sport? The ford parts house is having a hard time giving me the right part.

What happened to your old one? It should have a part number on it. You might be able to match it up if you show it to them even if there is no number written on it.

Thanks for your help. I found the part at the autozone website. I guess there's a bunch of igmo's working at our local store cuss they told me they don't have and couldn't get. I then went to another parts store. They gave me some pc of crap that had two differnt size hose fittings. So, I went to ford and paid for the part. They ordered and when I saw it it looked like something I've never seen before. Like a pvc valve with a pc of tubing wrapped around it?

My old pvc valve was taken off when I did a new intake (The tube that feeds the crankcase vent system wasn't included so I plugged the hole) To keep the air/Fuel mixture right, I filtered the pcv side too. Now I've misplaced it. I want to reverse this cuss the smell is getting to me.

Again, thanks for your help.

The Ford dealship has bad info on this part. I sat there and watched the guy look the part up. I returned a complete different part than I needed. I dug around and finally found the old number. It's not what the ford parts computer has listed. Just a warning. I'll post the number you need when I'm sure it's right (On order).

Why not just go to the autoparts store? Cuss they'll give you something wrong too. That and I don't want a bunch of cheap parts building up on my truck.

dude that is not your pcv valve. the pcv valve on the 01 sport does not connect to your intake. you can take that tube off if you want and put a breather filter on it. The pain in the ass pcv is on the back on the engine on the drivers side. The pcv valve with the tubing wrapped around it is what you need. If you buy that part and look on the back of the engine you will see it. I haven't replaced mine because all the threads I read said it was a PITA. Good luck.

A lot of people do that but think about for a minute. You're now sucking in air from a place where your MAF sensor doesn't read. Because of that you just skewed your Air to fuel ratio.

ANd yes - It is the PVC valve. Trust me.

Let me explain myself so you guys know what I'm talking about.

The PVC valve IS located BEHIND the intake on the 01 Sport. It doesn't attach to the Valve cover as was stated by CHURD69. I actually don't know how that interpretation arose? Anyways, the tube that connects to your valve cover acts more like a inlet outlet to the PVC valve. this is where the air is being sucked in when your PVC valve is functioning. If you put a filter on it, the air to fuel ratio will be skewed by a little bit. You probably will never notice it but think about it. Common sense tells you. And this is all part of how the PVC valve works. You have to have an inlet and outlet for the air.

i found the pcv by accident. the whole thing is inside a hose...the two hoses that connect to the intake - connect together in a t on the passenger side of the engine...right below the windshield washer t-hose....

I have to mention that my elbow cracked like most peoples when I pushed the new pcv in. so I bough (or was given) an 1 inch hose and I bought a t connector...now all three hoses connect to the t and then the 1 inch hose connects to teh pcv. done

as churd69 said the pcv valves is located on the drivers side by the firewall the place your talking about is were a lot of people put that crankshaft bypass breather filter pcv valve looks something like thishttp://autoparts.cardomain.com/auto-part/39459-standard-siv371-pcv-valve this is not the right part
i orderd mine today from napa this was the only place that i could find that carried this type besides the stealership other places sold me some crap looking thing with no coolant line around it. what you are talking about has nothin to do with pcv
