I toasted one PIAA 9007 super white, I want to replace them both but I'm a little confused on what to get. I've read alot of different posts about 9007 bulbs but still don't know whats best to spend the money on. Etreme whites, sylvania, HID no way $$, please help. best bang for the buck.

Sorry to hear about your bulbs!

You're going to get a LOT of opinions on bulbs on this board... here's mine.

If you want the ricer look, go anything blue.

Otherwise, you can't go wrong with SilverStars.

Ry.

I just installed the silverstar's in my fathers BMW this week and I must say I was impressed. They weren't blue looking, just extremly white and much brighter than the stock bulbs. He wants to get the high beams with the same bulbs now. Plus they have a $10 rebate on them so they only cost $30 for the pair after the rebate.

I couldn't be happier with my Silverstars.

Will the silver stars work with my stock wiring? will the be as bright as my PIAA platinum's?

Yes they will work with your stock lights and some ( including me ) think they are whiter and brighter.

T/a, how long did you have the PIAA's before it burned out? They have a one-year warranty on their bulbs. I think PIAA's are the best, from what I hear the Sylvanias are a second (some have done a side-by-side), but really, you said no HID and unfortuantely there isn't much HID available for the explorers but i have it in my F-150, and I'll never go back (unless I have to, LOL)

There about a 1 1/2 years old. I might just get another set of PIAA's but those Silver star's have me interested.

hello everybody. i have a quick question regarding a bulb upgrade. if i were to go get a new bulbs nthat were say, 80/100 input (or ay higher wattage bulbs), could the stock wiring handle them with only a fuse upgrade, and would i get the full power of the bulbs?
thanks a bunch.

You will be asking for potential trouble without a heavy duty wire harness upgrade,

Goof luck.....
