00 Ford Explorer XLT 5.0
I on my way to pick up a one owner 2000 Ford Explorer 5.0 with 112,000 miles and it was just inspected 700 miles ago. Synthetic oil changes since new every 5,000 miles and was wondering if someone could tell me if these pictures look alright. Apparently there isn't rocker or where well rust and he said the frame should be good too especially considering it was just inspected. I'm getting it for $2,000 because the mans wife just died and he only needs one vehicle, this was hers. What do you think?

Clean, no rust anywhere in particular. The tires are gross though, cyclone touring tires or whatever. I just need to figure out the biggest size for stick wheels without a lift and without rubbing. Honestly I don't even know how capable these 5.0s are off road anyway

You can fit 31s with out any lift. But I doubt you'll stop there especially since you are aware of this website. Lol. And from what I read the 5.0 is the best motor to have in a X. As far as off road I'm sure others will back me up in saying the explorer can handle a lot of trails with little or no mods
