pics of everyones system

No, its gonna be like 6-8 months before that, but i did get the scoops and they are going to get painted next week, they look great even unpainted :)
The only thing that I don't like about the kickers is that since they are square the have the same mounting holes, I've taken mine out a lot of times and I am having troubles getting them to stay in the box because the screw holes in the wood are getting too big. I can't just turn them like a circular sub

i myself like the Earthquake D2....

i've seen an magazine with an green Ford F350 with 32 12" premiers powered by 4 of these badboys...

plus you can get them for about 600 bucks if you fish around an bit...

the D2 is a great amp, but i thought it was discontinued. are they going to make them again?

i bought one an couple of weeks ago,

they might have discontinued it, that would be news to me...but it's possible...

sadly enough earthquake has gained so much competition from other brands that it's been pushed to the background an bit, lots of the younger guys never even heard of earthquake down here....some of them tell me "yeah...isn't that that cheap stuff ?"

untill they listen to it that is... ;)

i NEVER heard anyone call Earthquake cheap. whoever would say a thing like that, doesn't know very much about car audio. two years ago a db drag team in the outlaw spl class broke the world record using Earthquake subwoofers (i think they used eight Magma 10" subs)

well you know how that goes....

an 16 year old...just got an car, sees his friend get an MTX, ecplipse or audiobahn whatever....and they think that's the ****....untill ofcourse they listen to something like mine....

you can't explain those youngsters that an 49 buck 12" sub can't fight an 500 dollar sub....as in with many things in life, good stuff costs money, it's just that simple...if you want quality then you pay an price....although for some barnds you pay alot more for the name then neccesary...

dude , back in the old days (about 10 years ago) it was all earthquake, MTX and hifonics....atleast in holland it was....nowadays there are alot more quality brands to choose from ...i myself always stuck with earthquake since i know i buy an quality good sounding sub with no nonsense around it....

Heres a few pics of my truck in the making, far from done, more pics to come....... soon..... scroll down... sorry

lizardtrac, the pics aren't working for me. do you have a link?

i see you have polk 6X9s, where did you mount them?
it sounds like you a cool setup.

lizardtrac, Nice setup. I was wondering what model/manufacturer of your tv. I've been looking at getting a second tv for my X and have been wanting it to be like the one you've got. Also was it hard to install or did you have somebody do it for you? Sorry for all the questions, but Thanks

I did 100% of the work done to my truck, I do this for a living, both custom and mostly dealer work for new vehicles, along with stereos, alarms, remote starters, and navagation. this unit is an audiovox 6.8" monitor, I ripped it apart and custom painted it to match my interior, it wasnt easy to install as I have a factory moonroof so I had to get creative, I wouldnt really advise someone who didnt have any experence in custom/factory work to atempt this but with a little patience anything can be done.

Just a pic of the truck and stereo...

okay guys here is a picture of my system, which still isn't done yet, but it's going along well. My box was the first one to fit behind the seats and extend to the edge of the truck. Everyone else copied me :), which I don't care. Go to http://members.cardomain.com/dariverus to see some more pictures and info.

Hey lizard, how did you get that EQ to fit...and where did you get your kit from...mine doesn't look like it would fit an EQ

eq

Well it took alot of patience and time, I got the regular kit with the small as hell pocket below the redio cutout, the took my dremel and cut out an opening just big enough for the eq to fit in and hot glued it in. hope this answers ur question.

i see... looks goood, mine doesn't have the pocket on it, i think they gave me a ****ty kit.. by the way, nice racing stripe..i have never seen that on an explorer before..you have the same year and color as my truck..
