Took the horrible brown/ gold pin stripping off today. I'm guessing who ever thought that looked good, was the same one who thought V8 equals Awd. One of the best upgrades so far.

Any before and after pics?

How'd you remove it?

I might have some before pics, after will be easy enough. I'll have to post a few when I get a chance.
Removing was very easy and quick. The sun did the hard work. Let the sun heat up the adhesive and used my thumb nail to get the end started, pulled very slow and had it all off in less than 10 mins. Used Goo gone to remove what was let of the adhesive and washed / waxed after.

With the horrible pin stripping.

Also painted the grill and the door pillars.

How hard were the door pillars to remove because mine are faded BAD!!!! Plus did you use flat black with a clear coat or gloss black for your pillars and grille?

You don't remove them you just tape off and use paper to cover the surrounding are and paint them.

The picture fooled me at first, after finding some more threads I caught on.

Just took mine off recently and one of the doors has this residue left on it and not 3M adhesive remover or heat gun still won't take it off. Any ideas?

Looks good without the pinstripes! Nice and clean...

..but although I'm no HUGE fan of pinstriping, I didn't think it was necessarily all that bad based on the pic you posted. Nevertheless, your paintwork prep info gives me some ideas for the ol' Mustang..

Cheers!

I used WD-40 and a heat gun to get my emblems off. May work on your pinstripe.

I'll give it a whirl. What's weird is that it looks like it's kinda textured on the door's paint once the pin striping was removed.
