Pine Barrens/South Jersey run

ha yea, i was in the Army, I know if you are anywhere in south jersey special treatment does not work because of Fort Dix but I went to the inspection station by me in central jersey. I think the uniform did help though because the lady showed me how the the parking brake did not work at all and told me she would pass me anyway because she knew that i would get it fixed. Which reminds me I really have to do that... but anyway yea lol. I really have noticed that people treat you a lot differently when you are walking around in camo with an american flag on your shoulder.

Yeah they usually do give you a little more respect. What unit were you in? BTW i am in the army too stationed in schweinfurt germany 1st ID 1-77 AR.

Well if the continual is feb third I'm fine with it, who the hell wants to watch the Giants play pfffft.. How much does a pass to Assateague cost? Good trails? What type of terrain?

As reffered in post number 51!!! as far as my rig is concerened I've made much progress but with everything I fix there is always something else wrong (I.E. it won't idle right, my door sags. my pass. door doesnt lock and now the windows dont work on any door except for the driver side, my pass. rear door doesnt close right, my hatch doesn't close right. for some reason I had water in the rear at one time!, I need new shocks, my stock air box is broken my hood doesnt close all the way, Vaccum leak and much much more!!!) sooo anyone want it?!?! 210K and counting for 750!!! its a steal!!

i have the itch to do some wheelin and i dont mind road trips etc.

My first question is where is the "pine barrens"? is it in Jersey? I dont need a detailed description of how to get there, i am just looking for a nearby city so i can look it up on an east coast map and see if it is a distance that i want to travel at this time.

I am up for some intermediate level action i think. The old black dawg is a 99 4 dr explorer with body lift,33's, winch, and limited slip. The stock bumpers seem to hold it back due to approach and departure issues but that is more of a rock crawling thing.

Also, I'm on 33s with limited slip and stock bumpers as well, hunterdan is on 31s, etc. so none of us are doing anything hardcore.

After reading this I guess it's time to get my act together and fix things that need be:

Rear leafs shot - damn mono ***** make an upsidedown "U"
LR shock leaking oil a bit
Michelin street radials gotta go

I did fix my front hub last week though, $250 GONE!

Not that it will help you much, but I've got the 2 main springs from a 3 door pack in my garage... They are beat though, but if you want them for something let me know all they are doing is taking up space...

But then I got home tonight and found this - add exhaust work to my list

Next time I should be good. I would like to go with a few regulars before I start going deep into the trails I've found by me, as a learning experience.
