Hey guys. Can I fit an equalizer in above or below my head unit? It's the same size as the head unit.

yes you can fit a din size headunit and a din EQ in your dash.

Ok - I haven't done my homework

but is this the equivelant to 1 din unit?

Yes, that unit is a Single (1) Din unit.

If you have found a Double DIN mounting kit please post a pic. A lot of guys in here want to see what it looks like.
