Hey all,

I know this has been probably posted already, but I am in a bit of a rush. I need a quick answer from you experts.

I am ready to buy a set of 2000 ford ranger 16 in rims and tires (stock). Will this be absolutely okay on my explorer?

The rims are on Firestone tires (oh no) Can these be replaced or are they okay after that point? If not can I still have them replaced for free?

I appreciate you understanding my urgency.

The Ranger rims will fit but I would have those Firestones replaced ASAP.

Ford is not replacing Firestones as of March 31, 2002.

Is this true? Can I still get replacements?

Does this recall count for the 16 inch tire as well?

Yes, no more free replacements. If the Firestone has a lot of tread on it, it might be OK to drive with them on for a short period of time, but I wouldn't.
