Dont remember the whole tranny number but starts with a 5.
Ok few weeks ago my tranny revved up when it switched gears and o/d stopped working.it fixed it self with the second gear problem but still no o/d.transmission is 4 years old.i changed the fluid and filter removed valve body seemed clean and seal was good.ok I put 12 volts to all the synods and the clicked and seemed clean.and it has no transmission light on or check engine.need some big help.i will not have it rebuilt again.i don't think it's something major.my dad did take it to a shop and they said nothing was wrong........ Well the guy was stupid.the o/d does not work and runs 3,300 rpms at 70! Before it was 2,000.please help

Since you started this thread, I closed your duplicate thread in the 2nd Gen forum.

Let's stick to the present thread.

I have moved this to the stock 2nd gen sub forum for better views.

In the meantime, the problem could be a number of things. You might check the throttle position sensor

??? What would that have to do with the tranny over drive?

??? What would that have to do with the tranny over drive?

The throttle position sensor provides input to the PCM. If the voltage is too high the transmission may have trouble upshifting. High throttle position sensor reading causes downshifting.

It has started shifting a little high threw all gears.it shows code p1762
Everything on the valve body was replaced solenoid wise.

It did say on the o2 censer and erg valve then that tranny code.

Have the codes read again and post the code numbers up. This will help. JUst saying "o2 sensor" isn't going to cut it, as there are about 15 possible 02 sensor reported codes

Does it feel like you are pressing on the gas pedal harder than usual to maintain speed? If so, that might be due to the problems causing the fault codes.

No it runs and seems normal.the idle it about 500 rpm and runs smooth.

It really don't thing something is wrong with the tranny it self.i think their is a faulty sincer telling it something is wrong and it ant. Does my overdrive servo contrôlée 2nd gear?

I'm just looking for ideas.i was half asleep when I replied.

Does the overdrive servo control all the gears or just o/d and 2nd?

I am interested in the question as well, since I am having similar issues. I'm currently out of country, so I apologize for not having codes in front of me to report. The issue(s) at hand were simply; when I start my explorer and begin to drive, everything works as it should. I come to a stoplight and stop, still everything working. Here it gets interesting. When I release the brake and push on the gas pedal, it appears as though my shifting points have jumped up an additional 500-800rpms! If I manually shift through the gear sequence, everything works correctly. However (another interesting note) if I put my foot on the brake again, shift the transmission into neutral and then back into drive, all my shift points go back to normal and no longer rev higher than normal.... until the next stoplight. I have a feelings it's the same issue huntingdeer is experiencing.

Any thoughts?

I've tore the valve body apart so many times and every time I have not found nothing wrong till today.i was looking at my old solenoid harness and found a burn mark where the other plug plugs in beside it.what is the other plug.its the small one.and could that make my o/d not work?
