with my spout disconnected, using a timing gun i get 15*-20*,
fluctuates when it misses , in drive, as per haynes

never goes below 15* to the 10* that it should be with spout disconnected.

my question-

can i just rotate the synchronizer until it times at 10* and clamp it down?

with the crank at Number 1 TDC compression reading 0 on crank, my syncro will never drop down and face perfectly straight ahead with the tool on, always points at 7 or 5 oclock, never perfect 6

starts right up first thing in morning but always long cranking starts once its been driven and sitting for little, if turn off and try to start right away it will fire right up

always smells like raw fuel and fuel smokey once it does start, so its getting fuel, almost everything has been replaced but my time BASE timing is off

*BUMP*

correct me if im wrong!

all sensors work togeather but

cam sensor controlls injector timing

crank sensor\sprocket controlls spark timing

the only way "BASE" timing can out out of sync is if cam procket was installed wrong?
tho thats impossible because they only go on 1 way

-going to buy a TDC pin, turn it over by hand untill it stops on #1 compression and set cam syncro from there, no matter what the crank marks say..??

cranks over forever when warm but will always start eventually, no codes, new temp sensor, depf ect...

The harmonic balancer parts can slip over time. Once this happens the keyway and crank sensor trigger wheel will not be in alignment. You might check this out-
