Could be a bad gas cap or as serious as one of the fill or vent hoses for the gas tank has ruptured.

Check the fill--vent tubes to the gas tank.

Turdle has mentioned the two most frequent causes
of that code. On my Ranger, it turned out to be the
fuel cap.

check your fuel filler neck and make sure it isn't rotting away.

the filler neck is rotting away,this much i know as i had to work on it before,these are expensive and i dont see any reasonable way to fabricate one.to me this was a poor design ,the filler neck that is.
