I've been looking at buying a car to save on gas, and I have found a eclipse GS-T that only has 87k on it. The problem is that about 6 months ago the head gasket was blown and the car has been sitting since. I'm kind of worried that some of the internals may have had the chance to start corroding since there is a chance that the oil has some coolant in it.
Would this be as simple as putting a new head gasket on there and changing the oil on shorter intervals right after its done, or would it need a whole engine rebuild to be reliable (replace possible corroded bearings)?
