Is it possible to keep my premium factory audio system and install an amp and 2 subs or do i have to get an aftermarket headunit?

THanks.

I am using my factory Head Unit and 6 disk changer, an it is hooked up to An Alpine type S 10" and a 700 watt Sony Amp. I had it installed, I believe that it only took some RCA cables to hook it up to my amp.

Agent,
Yes. You can add the items in question and keep your factory HU.

So do the newer model factory head units have RCA preouts? If they do, than you can just run RCAs to the amp from the HU. If not, you can tap into the rear speakers wires, and hook those up to your amp's high level inputs, and do it that way.

Great, thanks guys.

There are no factory radios that have RCA outputs. You have to go speaker level intp the amp or use a hi-to-low converter. Most newer amps have speaker level input.
