Power Antenna 1998 Mountaineer

My power antenna has quit working. The motor runs but the antenna seems disconnected from the antenna. Is it better to replace the whole assembly or try to reconnect the antenna to the motor. Where is the antenna motor located?

It's in the front fender. Most likely the toothed plastic strip inside the mast has broken, very common to all aged Ford antennas. You'll need to get a replacement mast from eBay and remove the motor, clean all of the bits out of the broken internals, and reinstall the new mast.
