power door lock actuator

does anyone know if there is a difference between 4 door explorers' actuators and explorer sports' actuators. my passenger door lock actuator stopped working a while ago and i plan on replacing it with this write up: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=185707 . Also, is there any difference in years that anyone knows of - i looked on ebay and saw one pulled from a 96 and one pulled from an 01 and they look very similar, i just dont want to buy the one from the 96 and have it not fit. thanks in advance.

they will all fit, i think even as far back as the first gens, but any 96-01 is interchangeable for sure
