power lifgate and keyless entry conections

driving on highway, keyless entry pad rips off, flapping in breeze, at same time liftgate ajar message hits screen. now liftgate won't open, door locks work. but every time i stare vehicle the warning for liftgate ajar. Dealer says no connection, wants 900 for liftgate repair. the keypad coming off is in a newly released recall.

Contact Ford national customer service and ask if the recall will cover this problem that was triggered by the pad ripping loose.

There are more. Basically, what happened is that the wiring was damaged when the pad came off while driving. Check to see if you can spot any damage to the wiring. This does affect the liftgate.
