Hey guys, I have a 2012 ford explorer limited. I live in edmonton alberta and we had a really cold snap that killed the battery. the doors wouldnt even open so i had to use the removable key from the fob to get into the vehicle to pop the hood. i replaced the battery and now keyless start doesnt work (screen says no key detected). the autostart and keyless entry work fine tho. i have been using the slot in the console to start the vehicle or a month or so now. i hooked up a computer and it has code B10C7 Interior Trunk Antenna Circuit Intermittent. i took it to the dealership and they tried to relearn the keys but they said it wasnt the issue and the issue is to do with the rear trunk antenna. does anyone have any advice on this?
thanks!
Hi. I was wondering if there was ever a solution to this issue? I actually have an Ecosport, but still a Ford with very similar issues. I’ve had nothing but issues with this car since I got it in April, but I’m a music junky & the electrical issues are worsening on top of messing with my sound.
I’m intermittently having the “no key detected,” my Auto Unlock at the handles has been going nutty; randomly unlocking and unlocking?, and I’m having intermittent interference through my speakers while my car is off! I’ve ripped out my sound system wiring TWICE thinking I had a loose connection or something but it was all fine.
I thought my voltage drop issue was related to the fact that there’s a missing factory amp, sub, & center speaker until I ran diags via forscan. It gave me 4/5 bcm open circuit or bad ground codes, hvac code for my left heated seat, & this B10C7 code. After researching, I learned this was for a keyless entry antenna, not radio!
I knew exactly where it was because I had to unplug it when removing trim to install my sound; so, I was thinking I forgot to plug it in. It was plugged in, but after using my digital multi meter (DMM) & test light; I learned that the connector has no power.
I have been all through my fuse boxes recently trying to figure out the voltage issue, then searched for hours and still cannot for the life of me figure out what fuse this device runs on! Does anyone know?
So far, everything is pointing to the body control module (BCM)

but I did find an m case fuse for the BCM that needs replaced.
I honestly feel like it’s a bad ground to the BCM, but I’m obviously hoping it’s a fuse!
My electrical troubles are much more extensive (long before I realized & added system) but I just shared a little relating to this code in hopes that either someone found the resolution or I can help someone!
I love a good challenge; I will ALWAYS figure it out, but, I’ve only been a YouTube certified fake electrician

for a few years & I know from growing up with a wrench in my hand that electrical issues are N E V E R ending!
Thanks for reading; I look forward to hearing what yours & others outcomes were!
