While I was replacing the front shocks on my explorer, I moved the wheel back and forth with the engine off a few times. I noticed after the third or forth time that fluid started coming out of the top of the PS reservoir. After the job was finished there was a bit of shudder when I turned the wheels with the engine on. I moved the wheels from block to block a few times and most of the shudder seems to have gone away, but there still seems to be a little bit. The reservoir still seems full. Any idea on what I can do to get all the shudder out of the system.

For whatever reason it may be, this is normal. Assuming the fluid isn't overfull, some spitting from the cap is normal when you turn wheels lock to lock with the engine off.

The shudder may just be some air that got into the pump.

Double check that the fluid is right on and don't sweat it.

Benjam :D
