Howdy all! Well, It seems like nobody around here knows what they are talking about, so I'll ask on here. I'm needing to replace my Power Steering Pump, but every part I order shows me a picture with the "flange" the pulley bolts to, but when it gets here it is missing. I have been told by parts store employees that that piece does not come with the pump or the pulley, and that I have to use my old one. I then took it to a ford dealership, and the tech told me he never saw a pump come WITHOUT one. It is quite obvious that one of them is very wrong. I ordered one from rock auto, and that one was wrong too. I've tried taking that piece off, but it seems that either I'm doing it wrong, or the hex bolt holding it on there is seized. The top link is what I need, but the bottom link is what I always get. I'm trying to buy it new, not remanufactured one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just use a remanufactored one , it will outlast the explorer motor

Thanks for the info. You ever hear of anyone just removing the "triangle flange" from the old one and putting it on the new one?
