:usa: I have purchased a right rear door for my 91 because of collision damage. Inside of the door has a broken steel cable that works with the power window. I have changed motors and replaced parts in the motors with no problem. But I am not familiar with what the cable does. I think it is part of the regulator mechanism and the motor parts on the door I am replacing are not damaged. Both ends of the cable are simple to remove but I need to know what is involved with swapping window parts other than the motor. Are there any tricks I should knowe about and are there any adjustments I need to be aware of. Thanks

That is part of your regulator assembly. You'll have to change that too by the sounds of it. Just change the entire mechanism/motor and all. Easy. Remove inside trim, drill out rivets holdin in window. remove window. Two rivets on the bottom and I think two on the top, and the whole mechanism comes out the access hole in the door. Good luck.
Peace
