Power Window Questions

I bought a 98 XLT and found both front power windows intermittent. When I cycle the window lock out switch I gain normal window control, Are the power window switches on a cluster or are they individual switches?

The master switch in the door is a 1 - piece unit.

you might need to clean the contacts in the switches

Power Window Question

I'm noticing a strange situation with my 96 XLTs power windows and closing the driver side door. Depending on how the door is closed the power windows work, or don't. As of now, one window is down, and I can't get it to operate no matter how I close the driversd door. BTW, aside fromt the drivers door not locking even if the power locks are activated, everything else electronic is fine. The fuses are all good. I think a sensor may be going if it hasn't already. I'm open to suggestions. Aside from fixing it, is there a way to manual get the window up?
