After integrating the factory amp to my new head unit every time I turn on the stereo the sub pops. Would this be solved by powering the amp from a constant, or switched source? Right now its powered from the remote turn on from the stereo (powered only when the head unit is on). Thanks in advance!

You need to solder an in-line resistor of 1500 Ohm (1.5kOhm) into the amp power-on line from the head unit.

99c for 5 resistors from Radio Shack. I did it a couple of weeks ago - easy, cheap and works a treat.

Thanks! I went to radioshack and bought them. They were $1.05 total. So all I need is to solder just one of those tiny things into the line? dang. Ill try it when I get back home Sunday.

Yep - solder it into the power on cable from the head unit to the amp and you're done.
