Actually, this is all interesting!
I just assumed all along that the alarm was OEM, especially as there is a Ford-branded manual.
Here's the latest: The key fobs and alarm are now working as they should...
Outlier, it sounds like there is a loose wire somewhere on your aftermarket alarm system. If your key fobs did not work and now do, I would find the alarm box and inspect it for any loose wires. I have found a loose antenna wire on my aftermarket alarms. Actually it was a plug device that had wiggled halfway off and was the antenna.
