So I was under there trying to drain and fill. I think I see the drain plug at the bottom but if it’s at the bottom how do I fill it? PTU image. Could that be another plug on the middle right?

all the videos I see on this service there is only one drain/fill plug. Anyone else done the service?

Found this Video. Will give it another go tonight. Will need to get the fuel line and clamp first.

Drain from the plug and fill from the vent. Re-fill is slow process, so just take some time to let lube go down and air to burp out.

So I posted this in the other ptu thread but didn’t get a response. I stripped the plug and there isn’t enough room to use an extractor. Anyone have any suggestions?

It can be over 3000 to replace ptu. Buy a new plug and use chisel to get old one spinning. Take to someone else who can get old plug out. Make a less expensive choice now

Did you ever figure out how to get the stripped plug out? I've ran into the same problem myself.

Took it to a quick lube place and for $90. They drained and filled....

Did you give them the correct Motorcraft gear fluid? Or did they have it? I don't know if generic gear fluid is appropriate or safe.

Throw Amsoil Severe Gear or Redline Shockproof in it. If neither of those, I'd stick with Motorcraft (but I highly recommend going with a better quality oil), but I definitely wouldn't use anything a local lube shop uses...
