2002 Explorer XLT
Hi. I have a 2002 Ford Explorer XLT and the passenger puddle lamp was out.

Went onto Youtube and saw a method for removing the lamp with a butter knife. Turned out, I do not have the same setup that was shown an all I ended up with is now a puddle lamp with a detached lens.

1. Any ideas how to fix it?

2. What bulb size is in the puddle lamps?

3. Otherwise I suppose I need to get a new side mirror assembly.

Any help greatly appreciated.

You can silicone or goofy glue the lens back on...ask me how I know lol. Before you do it try to get the housing out, I am thinking you will see it is as described in the knife vid. It is a bit tricky! Bulb is 906 IIRC.

I put 922 or 921 bulbs in mine, if I recall correctly. They are bright! I carefully use a utility knife blade to remove the lenses. It's still a bit tricky.
