I took this idea from Jasonb. He has one and it was very handy at Tellico so I finally got around doing it to mine. I used 2x6s and plywood, very easy to make and very handy.
Here's what it looked like before
yeah I'm already getting it full. I also like it because you can put something a lot bigger in the back now because it is flat all the way across and you don't have to worry about the fender wells.
yes that is the originial interior and it is VERY red. the lady that had it before I did took very very good care of it and it honestly looks like it's brand new, well it did before I got it, but it still looks great.
Are you going to cover it with red carpet or just paint it red? When you have it finished, please post a picture here. Might be something to consider doing myself.
I'm not sure if I'm going to carpet it or not. It's probably going to take some abuse with stuff thrown on top of it so I might just paint it like flat black or something. Might herculine some if, I need to get some anyways for my rockers and some other stuff, so it depends on if I have enough left over. But ya, I'll post more pics when I get it done. My brother did one also and he's got dividers in his with a mat on top of it, if he sees this he might post a pic of his.
Nice job Travis. My wife saw that and said to me"build it" so I guess i have little project this afternoon. I think the Huculiner idea is what I will go with.
