First, I ask this without having actually taken my rotors off yet to check, because I have not been in a position where I could go a day or two without my 'Sploder.
In lieu of having my already thin rotors machined down, I decided to just bite the bullet and order new rotors all together. I ordered Powerstop from Summit, part #PWR-AR-8554L. I ordered them online by entering my Explorer model year, then selecting the rotors that came up. They were delivered today, and I noticed that the rotors I got, which are the same part # as on the site, look like they just mount directly to a mounting flange and do not themselves carry the wheel bearings and races, as I was expecting. There is no way these are designed to carry the bearings and races, the inside diameter of the flange area has way too big a diameter. The application section at Summit says these rotors fit '91-'00 4WD applicationg, but I think the site is wrong because I think they went to a true IFS in '95, and mine is definitely a TTB.
I just want to get anyone's thoughts before I send these back or get my rig pulled apart.
