So just replaced the hub and wheel bearing assembly on my 01 sport trac and was thinking of doing a rear drum break to disk break conversion. Has anyone done it and what would be the best way if you have.

would it be easier to find an axle out of a Sport Trac that already has disk brakes or did Ford change them. I know it has to be the same gear ratio as my axle and would need the proportioning valve also.

^ Thanks, good to know. Maybe a late 2002 model year change?

If not, Wikipedia needs a correction. LOL
For 2002, the chassis was given four-wheel disc brakes (replacing rear drum brakes) with the rear discs being the largest offered on a solid rear axle Explorer (11.83" vs 11.2").
