Ok on thursday I lifted my truck a lil over 7 in front and 4.5 in back. I am now getting a shimmy in the front end at low speeds and turning around corners. I was wondering if this was something that is normal or maybe I need to try and check to see if I can tighten the bolts some more. by the way once I get some longer shocks and steelbraided brake line for the back then I will be lifting the back another 2 inches or so to help level it out somemore. Thanks for any response in advance.:D :salute:

I've got to ask the obvious here.
1. Did you use a dropped Pitman arm with the lift, and
2. Did you get it aligned after lifting it?..................

Did your front end get mis aligned durring the lift? Also with the difference between front and back I might wait till it's leveled out to make any decisions.

to answer Qnum.1 the answer is yes.
to answer Qnum.2 the answer is I did a tgapemessure job cause I ran out of time in the shop. It took me 9.5 hours just for the front. Also what can I do to get the camber a lil better cause the front tires have a bit of positive camber. I know that some lifts have to settl before they will be at the hight that they are supossed to be at.

My front end is about 90% right. It is actually better than before I did the lift hehe:D . Yeah well the truck is my daily driver and I drive 20miles to and from work and I am getting a lil worse gas milage with the shimmy. I can handle it till I level it out but it might be a month or so.

I also was wondering if a stearing stabalizer would help it out a bit?

Steering stabilizer would just be hiding something out of whack. My bet is on a combo of alignment and a wheel slightly out of balance. When I lifted my X, I had nasty death wobble at first, but it was my toe-in being out of whack and one wheel just slightly out of balance. Right now, I'm set at about 1/16" toe in when doing measurements across the front of the tire (33's) vs. the rear of the tire, and I have no wobble issues any more.

Well here is an update. I found a couple bolts that I needed to use a hammer on a wrench to tighten enough that it wouldn't move anymore and I found the adjustment for the camber, I just forgot where it was. I no longer had a woble untill My brake pad ripped off:eek: :D lol. I fixed everything and now don't feel any problems at the moment. I guess I will find out on the way to work. I have already had the tires balanced a week ago because I had a shimmy from that too. So hopefully I will not have anymore problems except for maybe my wheel bearing which I am going to get new ones on friday. Thanks for all thoughts on th subject and advice givin.:D :salute:

Sweet! you got it done! Hopefully you gettin somethin a little bigger than those 31's real soon :D

Might be driveline vibration since the front is way higher then the rear. Could be your u-joints complaining.

Nope I have no vibration anymore. It was mostly the masive positive camber that I turned into minor negetive camber. It was also that the adjstable cams for the I-beams and the lower bolts on the radius arms were a lil loose still. Tightened them up and had no problem till my break pads ripped off. All my u-joints are nice and tight. I adressed that problem when I baught the truck in july.
