Questions About My 2023 Ford Explorer ST-Line!

I have a plethora of questions, and I'd appreciate your help. Here are my initial queries:

1. Does the new cars no longer come with an owner's manual?

2. Why doesn't the music volume increase significantly until it reaches 30?

3. How can I use the remote control to close the windows and lock all open features?

4. How do I activate the fog lights?

5. Is there a way to lock the rear doors from the inside?

What code do I have?

6. How can I update the map on my Ford SYNC system via WiFi? (I prefer WiFi, but it's not working)

Our 2020 came with a manual, but it is also available online.

There is a setting for speed based volume compensation. The volume lowers as you slow, and gets louder as you accelerate. It can be disabled.

Not sure about closing windows with the remote. I have never tried it, and I don't know that if it is even possible.

I don't recall how to activate the fog lights and I'm not with the vehicle so I can't check right now.

There is a global door lock switch on the door pull/armrest.

The WiFi update on our '20 is super flakey. I think it has only worked properly once. Ever since then I have been paying to have Ford send the latest updates on a stick.

I thought maybe that's why Ford stopped producing owner's manuals, because the owner manual is available online.

Not sure about closing windows with the remote. I have never tried it, and I don't know that if it is even possible.

I thought, since this feature was available in old cars, why shouldn't it be in the new ones?

1)The 2023s should have came with a physical owners manual. You will be able to find one online.
2) Not sure, like @Rick said speed compensation is something to consider.
3) Not sure what you mean by this? Are you referring to global windows or FordPass?
4) The button in the center of the rotating dial for the headlights activates the fog lights
5) From the 2nd-row there is no way to lock the doors from the inside
6) You should just be able to connect it to your internet and search for an update. It takes a really really long time over WiFi, and I myself never liked that.

You should have received the Securicode code for your vehicle when you bought it. I'm not sure where the code is located on the newer vehicle but you should be able to retrieve it. Do an Internet search on how to do that.

I believe you only have Global Opening, not Global Closing.
BTW, most of the answers to your questions are in the Owner's Manual. If you don't have one you can access it on the Internet or perhaps on your Ford Pass app.
On my Aviator, I can access the manual through the main screen.

Oh, haha no worries, just didn’t know what you were talking about. There should be a card with the factory code in the glovebox.

I would like to suggest to Ford that they make a feature available in their new cars. This feature would allow the car to lock and close everything automatically, I'm pointing for the windows and sunroof. Additionally, when the car is turned back on, it would remember and restore the previous settings, similar to how the memory feature works for the driver's seat.

But maybe it have and I don't know it!

As far as I know it basically does that now when you lock the vehicle. Unless you have the keyfob with you, you can't open the windows or the sunroof. Once you lock the doors, the alarm will set after a predetermined time period.

You are correct. The sunroof is a manual operation.
I believe there may be some vehicles that will automatically close the sunroof if rain is detected. The owner/driver is still responsible for many features. On hot days, I've purposely left the sunroof open when I lock the vehicle and go into a store etc.
